It seems to me from the author’s post that it must at times be difficult to grow up around so many conversations that mistake, are unaware of, or are confused by her origins or identity. Who are we to suggest that she is making a bigger deal out of this than it is? She has my sympathy (to the extent, if any, that she needs or wants it).
