You can also use a count to see how many people have a higher PLR than that user. In that case, if the user had 5 people above them, they are in 6th place. There might be other people at the same spot, and the query would be the same for both in that instance. With the above solution, I’m not sure how it would handle two people that have the same rating.

I’ve since refactored our PLR queries to use a count instead, but for other metrics that are more complicated the above example is still useful and we’re using it in production.
