It’s interesting because the vast majority of publishers make money through advertising and the advertising industry does a ton of dynamic pricing. Some people will see ads that are significantly more expensive than others. Arguably that is the reason that subscriptions haven’t been able to compete — a flat rate can’t compete against the price discrimination of ads.
