Good on Susan Sarandon! She has rightly raised the thorny question of whether, if Hillary becomes the nominee, Bernie Sanders’ supporters should vote for her in the general election. And the Bull Durham star is not alone — as many as a third of Bernie’s supporters say they won’t be able to bring themselves to vote for Hillary. This is admittedly a tough decision, so I’ve come up with a little “Bernie or Bust” quiz to help folks sort this out.
1. Like Dick Cheney, I believe the US should resume torturing terrorism suspects. AGREE or DISAGREE
2. I believe women should NOT be free to choose to terminate their pregnancies. AGREE or DISAGREE
3. I agree with Donald Trump when he said, “The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.” AGREE or DISAGREE
4. I think the Supreme Court decision declaring gay marriage legal was wrong, and I hope the next president will appoint judges to overturn it. AGREE or DISAGREE
5. I believe the rich pay far too much in taxes, and it’s high time for the poor and middle class to bear a higher burden. AGREE or DISAGREE
6. I think the Affordable Care Act should be repealed, and those 20 million Americans (so far, and rising every month) who have gained health care coverage through Obamacare should be left to fend for themselves. AGREE or DISAGREE
7. I think that the 11 million undocumented immigrants should be deported, we should end birthright citizenship, build a wall with Mexico, and ban all Muslims from entering the country. AGREE or DISAGREE
8. I can’t wait to see what sorts of legislation a Tea Party congress would send on to President Trump, and I relish the thought of Republicans picking the next several Supreme Court justices. AGREE or DISAGREE
9. I think Wall St. is too highly regulated, and I’m against a higher minimum age. AGREE or DISAGREE
