How I 3X my Apple Watch Battery Life

I still have 70% of my battery life after 12 hours of use. Do you?

Step 0 — Open the Watch app. Duh!

Step 1 — Turn off excess notifications

From the main screen of the app, go to Notifications and scroll down to MIRROR IPHONE ALERTS FROM:

Toggle the to the left all of the apps you don’t need notifications on.

Toggle Unnecessary Notifications to The Left aka “Off”

Step 2 — Turn Off Background App Refresh

From the main screen of the app, go to General and then Background App Refresh.

Toggle to the left all of the apps you don’t need constant updates on.

Toggle Unnecessary App Refresh to The Left aka “Off”

Step 3 — Reduce the Brightness

Reducing the brightness is a massive battery saver. From the main screen of the app, go to Brightness & Text Size.

Turn Down For What?! — Battery Life, That’s What.

The result?

29% battery used after 12 hours.

True, I’m pretty efficient with my watch anyway. I use it for texts, notifications, timers and of course, checking the time.

I don’t listen to music, play games or take photos.
