It’s interesting how we still, in this day and age, find meeting significant others- or even friends- online socially unacceptable, but everything else we do in our lives completely revolves around being online. Especially since meeting people from online is really really common. We are moving towards acceptance towards meeting people online but still we think: “this isn’t as valid as meeting someone in the wild.” (Wild meaning in real life.) Which is totally untrue. If a human vibes with another human, shouldn’t it not matter how they met.
In your case it’s one example of the many relationships that have started through an online relationship. It also brings up the question: Will the view on relationships starting online change with the improvements of social media (and dating apps)? Theoretically, it should, but realistically will it?
It would be interesting to here you perspective on this, because you have lived through a successful experience.
