Parag Khanna on megacities as the key nodes of the globe

A few days before publishing his new book, Parag Khanna wrote a great article for my beloved Quartz on some of the tenants on top of which his book Connectography covers:

Cities are mankind’s most enduring and stable mode of social organization, outlasting all empires and nations over which they have presided. Today cities have become the world’s dominant demographic and economic clusters.

Impressive paragraph. Needless to say, I immediately bought the book.
