Take Action

I see them copy and paste. Originality has been denied again. Over used quotes and thoughts laid out in a smorgasbord of text in an over saturated medium. Some claim they see through the looking glass or that they are on the outside looking in, but they did not remove the lens cap or see the third wall behind them.

They are blinded by inspiration that has been claimed by another. They claim to have found the muse that brings their lives meaning, yet cannot seem to put those thoughts or said focus into action. Serendipity is a foreign design.

Words. They all know the words, but do they know meaning? Can they cohesively string together syllables into something structured enough that is suited for action?

I am guilty of this offense as well. I have tried to use another’s muse and it has left me feeling empty. I cannot say if this composition is my frustrations or a spark of clarity. An epiphany. I realize that I am at risk of being hypocritical and false, but I do plan to take action on my conscience.
