What is Flow Club?

First, let’s delve into what this platform is and its main goal. If you’re reading this review, chances are you’ve already explored it a bit or at least have a general idea.
But let’s not forget those who have never heard of Flow Club and could potentially discover a new tool that might be… life changing, at least a little bit.

Let’s take their own definition from their website.
https://www.flow.club/

Flow Club offers co-working sessions that help you manage the downsides of working remote, so you can feel great working, produce better work, and have more time for things that matter.

Welcome to your new office, a virtual one.

Are you tired of working alone from home?
Do you want to set goals and actually achieve them for once?
Do you simply need a safe space to share your plans with others to hold yourself accountable?

Flow Club could be what you’re looking for.

Flow Club might be just what you’re looking for.
I’ll leave you to explore the ‘about page’ on their official website to understand how it works.
Better yet, you can create an account and give it a try for yourself.”

So if there’s a free trial, why am I writing this review?
Because using Flow Club is about building a habit, and as we all know, habits take time to become a part of our lives.
After spending some months using it, I feel that I’m ready to share my experience.

Context (you may skip it)

I am a software developer with the so famous ADHD who works from home.
I usually manage to complete my tasks, often doing beyond the requirements.
However I must confess that at some times, it’s challenging to avoid procrastination or maintain normal focus, not to mention achieving a state of flow.
Reading about productivity tips helps but sometimes I find myself spending more time reading about tips on how to work instead of really, working and that would be funny if it would not affect my job.

In short, I needed to find something that could help me stay accountable. Initially, I considered a co-working space, given that I live far away from my company’s office. As I didn’t have good options in that regard, I began searching for alternatives like Flow Club.
And.. did I like it? Let’s keep reading ;)

Pros and Cons

Flow Club provides all the details on their ‘About’ page, so I’ll skip the ‘how does it work’ section.
Let’s dive right into the pros and cons, and then I’ll share my thoughts on using it

What do I like?

  • I feel part of a community and everyone seems so nice
  • I set my goals and track my progress as I complete each task.
  • Even though we’re all working on different tasks, it’s amazing how it feels like we’re all working together, motivating each other.
  • Flow Club keeps me accountable with my sessions scheduled in advance, and when I’m there, I just feel the need to be productive.
  • I plan tasks ahead of the sessions so I always have an idea of what I still need to do.
  • It’s so easy to use !
  • For someone like me who struggles to find a good time to focus, it’s been life-changing.

What do I dislike?

  • There are some stats available for tracking, but they seem rather simplistic. It would be interesting to have more detailed data to enhance productivity further.
  • Goals are great but it would be awesome to have more organisation, goals and sub-goals or adding projects or something in order to separate concerns.
  • I find it a little bit expensive, the experience is great but 40$ monthly (at the time of this writing) is a little bit too much if we compare to other products.

Extended Review (The bla bla bla part)

I’ve had moments where I considered unsubscribing because it does feel expensive, and it’s a bit odd to think of it as ‘money spent to be able to work”…. which sounds weird.

But really, it is life changing for me and I used this word several times in this article even if I never use it in my daily life.

I’ve found that I can truly organize my time here, surrounded by a fantastic community, I have some laughs and share with others something that I never thought about that I would share…
I share my intention to stop procrastinating and to start focusing and working on myself and my tasks.

In the end that’s the goal, you can just connect your webcam (if you’re comfortable with it), share your goals and work with others who share the same common goal, “be productive”.
It’s a beautiful platform to find a warm safe place to work towards our objectives.
I will keep my subscription and keep my calendar full of sessions :)

If you’re interested

I’m going to start writting some reviews about websites, services or other stuff that I like or dislike so it’s not my intention to have any compensation from doing it, I just feel that it’s a little contribution that could be helpful for someone.

But still, if you want to give Flow Club a try, you have the option to use my referral link if you want, you’ll get two weeks worth of trial and you’ll help me in case you want to stay with Flow Club to give me a little free month, win-win :)
