Social media is a trigger for anxiety and depression. The constant visualization of those “happy” moments as they are captured by those you follow that lead to constant self comparison of what your life “should” look like. Even those with a tougher mindset that understand “the game” and realize that there are so many more other moments of sadness, loneliness, and hardship that aren’t captured and shared on a constant basis sometimes fall into this “matrix” — myself included.
