“ We’re leaving politics at the door.”
This makes me nervous. Because, here’s the thing: there’s a small but vocal faction of gamers for whom statements like “This game lets you play as a male or female character” is a huge, rant-worthy political statement. That title X is a “real game”, but title Y is not. The role of women and minorities as both players of and characters in games. The mere existence of these things have become political points spawning outrage from the dregs of gaming society.
So how can one leave those politics at the door?
