Design Report — April 2019

I started these monthly design reports back in August 2017 to challenge my UI/UX design skills and grow as a designer. The main purpose of these side projects is to try out new techniques, plugins, prototyping tools and solve design challenges I’m interested in.

This article is a collection of my work created in April 2019 combined with my favorite design inspirations.

Finder for iPad Concept UX/UI Case Study

After finishing all the different concepts and prototypes for my Finder for iPad Concept, I wanted to summarize my process, findings and behind-the-scenes experience, so I decided to write a detailed case study about it.

Additionally, I also created a short product video about this concept, so it’s easier to share. I created all the prototypes in InVision Studio and put together the final video in ScreenFlow. For the 3D parts, I used Rotato. This workflow is probably the fastest way today to create a high-quality product video for sure.

EverythingApplePro is one of the most popular tech channels on YouTube with more than 7 million subscribers when I write this article.

It still feels unbelievable and incredible that this many people saw my concept and got such positive feedbacks.

In addition to being featured on EverythingApplePro, my concept became quite popluar on Twitter, Reddit, and Instagram as well.

To be honest, I never thought I’ll reach 20k followers on Instagram this quickly considering reaching 10k took around a year from February 2018 to January 2019.

Thank you so much for everyone who is following my daily journey on Instagram, especially for those who are following me since the early days! I’ll try my best to continue sharing one new image every day with you just like before.

I also passed another huge milestone on Unsplash, which is 40 million views! It’s so motivating to get such huge support from the community to help me stay consistent and persistent with my product photography passion.
