Why you should NEVER give your number to a “Pink Lady”

If you’ve never heard of the infamous brand Mary Kay Cosmetics, I will assume one of two things about you. Either one, you’re lucky AF or two, you live under a rock.

Seriously, I think all of us at some point in our lives, regardless of your gender or financial status, have seen the pink car with the Mary Kay logo plastered across the back window. There undoubtedly will be the consultant’s name and number right under that, practically begging you to call and ask about their over-priced cosmetics.

DON’T DO IT: IT’S A TRAP!!! Yes, this is a hill I’m willing to die on as I hate these kinds of companies.

I cannot stress this enough: if you give your number to a Mary Kay consultant, they will NEVER STOP calling/texting you! You might as well block their number or change yours because it will never stop.

Mary Kay Ash started her cosmetics company in 1963. Today, the company boasts that Mary Kay started the company because “she was ahead of her time” and “…with the purpose of empowering women.”

Yeah, right.

Let’s not fool ourselves, or anyone else for that matter. The majority of entrepreneurs do not get into business to help people, but to make money. Now, this isn't necessarily a bad thing: we need to make money in…
