Interests
Music + Film— I’m a big fan of music and various artists, depending on my mood. I have my iPod on more often than not and listen to Radio 1 frequently for new music.

With regards to films I’m a sucker for a romcom, but generally I’m open to all genres except horror and love seeing new films in the cinema.

Travel — This year I spent two weeks in Thailand with friends island hopping and visited Mexico with my family. I always knew I liked visiting new places but this year especially I have realised a huge urge I have to travel and see more.

Reading — I read magazines frequently, ELLE, Grazia then sometimes Company or Glamour for example. I also read blogs and websites but more luxury travel blogs such as The Telegraphs Luxury blog or Conde Nast Traveller than fashion. In terms of fashion blogs I look at them more for inspiration. For example Snob Fashion Blog, Song of Style or andiwasike.com. Books again I’m a sucker for a fictional romcom kind of story and love the author Lindsey Kelk’s work. Other than that though I’ve just started reading Kelly Cutrone — If You Have To Cry Go Outside. I suppose thats a self help book, I like inspirational/ motivating books and texts like that too.

The Gym — I go around 4/5 times a week depending on uni work load and general week to week commitments. Nowadays it can be quite an effort at times but the way I feel after is always worth it, it’s a good mood lifter.
Sectors of the fashion industry I’m passionate about
- I interned at ASOS in the summer and I realised it really interests me how the high street takes trends set by fashion houses and designers and adapts them for the high street customer and again how that differs from store to store based on various demographics.

- Fashion media, how the trends and content is delivered to the consumer from blogs to magazines to social media. Its also interesting why certain consumers choose certain platforms to find this information and how much of this is based on trends as well. So for example Is VOGUE so popular because its cool to read Vogue etc.
What I’m not passionate about within the fashion industry
- Stereotypes — people aren’t very intelligent if they work in fashion
- Professionals that look down on interns in certain companies, most people start at the bottom, I understand that people are busy but there is a difference between being busy and being rude.
- Jeremy Scott at Moschino — just no

What are my goals for the up and coming academic year?
Personal goals :
- Improving my confidence
- Keep fit and healthy — gym
- Planning more travels
Academic goals:
- Complete my degree with the highest clasification I can personally achieve
- Become more confident in my abilty at university and for my professional future
- Develop Adobe creative skills to produce more creative and innovative design lead work
- Improve my presenting skills with practice
Professional Goals
- Finalise what I want to do when I graduate - with regards to what area of the industry and what kind of role. So whether I want to persusue a career in the fashion industry or if lifestyle and hospitality is the route I want to go down. I’m also not sure if PR is nescesarilly for me either, I think communications is, but perhaps marketing is suited to me.
- I’m always told my work is more marketing lead than PR so maybe it is a better choice for the future.
