Immensity of Love

Everything swallowed,

No distance between,

Tender kisses,

No glist and no gleam.

Truth of light,

Tender and sweet,

The sea of lament,

The dream of debris.

I’ll never know

The lips that purse,

The eager desire,

The infinite thirst.

The longing will linger,

For he’s another’s,

The shortening of love,

That could go no further.
