I am not a writer, nor do I read album reviews, but something is calling me to combine the two: writing album reviews. I am not writing album reviews for the sake of writing album reviews, but I am writing them as a challenge.

This idea began while preparing for a Megadeth concert. I had not really listened to Megadeth much in my life, so I really wanted to listen to their music in depth before going to their concert. I think the experience at concerts is so much more enriching the more familiar you are with the music of a band.

For 30 days, I listened to Megadeth every day and documented my journey on Instagram (@metalcutieuwu). I listened to Megadeth’s full discography and had a really great time! I enjoyed it enough that I want to continue this trend. This time around I think giving more full album reviews would be better though. I think it will help me improve my writing skills and gain some confidence!

The next band I am doing a deep dive for is Trivium. I have listened to Trivium a little bit, but since I also plan on seeing them live soon, I thought they would be a perfect band for me to do a deep dive on next.
