Hey hey hey, like writing code.
♫Giving code a whirl, it’s no joke, hey hey hey like writing code.♫
Ok so, you might be a mom if you find yourself hiding in your bedroom closet, gnawing last weeks granola bar, desperately trying to absorb the lessons your reading while you hear your kids duking it out in the living room. But seriously… I found time to come up with that little rendition ^ so my brain must be functioning at least 2%.
Day three at TIY and I found myself between a rock and a hard place. CSS is no joke. Looking at a screenshot of a webpage and trying to write CSS from a pre-made HTML just about melted my brain. Matter of fact that’s my new mantra. “My brain is melting. My brain is melting.” I mean it must be. When my instructor told me to turn in my project, did I copy the link from my GitHub repo? NOPE. I straight copied the link of the live page I’ve been previewing my changes in. Like wut . — .
It’s still the first week and already the time commitment is something I’ve never dealt with before. It still feels relatively slow but my heart skips a beat when I think how much more time and effort I’ll be putting in in just a few weeks time. I think I’m ready. I hope I’m ready. One day at a time. Today wasn’t the best day but tomorrow will be whatever I make it. And that’s a beautiful concept.
Peace and bacon grease,
Danielle
