Learning when to take a break

I haven’t written since Thursday and honestly, I’ve just been too burned out. I’m working on my first weekly project writing my own HTML and CSS. Thus far I had only really styled prewritten HTML. Coming up with my own is melting my brain. At first I thought it was my CSS that was wonky but now I’m starting to realize that my HTML just isn’t written well enough to support being styled. Bummmmmer. Now that I’ve figured out that I’ll need to rewrite my HTML, I’m feeling even more lost on were to re-begin. I keep coming up with the same old stuff that didn’t work. -Isn’t that the definition of insanity?-

Since moving on with other classwork this project seems to loom in the distance, screaming “You’re not smart enough and you’ll never get me finished!” Even though today I felt decent about what I created, I keep coming back to not knowing how to write my own HTML and I’m right back to square one. Miserable and wanting to quit. How long a break is acceptable? Now that’s the real question.

Peace and bacon grease,

Danielle
