I think that Israel’s treatment of the Palestinians is immoral. Therefore, a boycott against Israel may be a position that I would advocate. If I ran a business I might even feel, based on my conscience, that it would be immoral to sell to Israel, in particular the Israeli army.

Yes, it is hypocritical for various people to object to overturning Citizens United and then to support making it illegal to advocating a boycott of Israel.

But these are strange times that we live in.

The ACLU has a position that if a wedding florist declines to cater flowers for a same gender marriage based on their conscience that they are discriminating. So if I stand up and say, “We should boycott Israel until they improve their human rights record.” A lot of people, including the ACLU, could accuse me of advocating discrimination. That might be illegal.

That is the world that we live in today and the ACLU has helped bring us to this point. They are as equally hypocritical as various people being mentioned in this article.
