Great piece Julie. I might be biased as our tagline is “the connected closet”, but this is what we’ve set out to build with the Hanger platform. We cannot wait for the days when apparel is born digital whether through Avery Dennison & Evrythng or some ‘home-grown’ solution from retailers or manufacturers.

I would like to see all manufacturing details of every item encoded on that item — where was it manufactured, when, what materials were used, what dyes, sizing data, etc. The more data points we have on the things you wear, the better chance we have of nailing the personalized recommendations — and that will increase revenues for all brands.
