Seeing 50 Shades of Grey with Two Women

The guy at the ticket booth
gave me an evil grin,
so I played along & winked,
standing beside two friends of mine,
servers I’ve worked with,
attractive & younger, early 30's,
it did look funny.

They wanted to see a movie,
of course that’s what they chose,
you’d have to know them.
The irony was the novel
hit the bestseller list,
read exclusively by women,
the theater was mostly women also;
but S&M, bondage & dungeons,
aren’t these more neanderthal fantasies?

Leaving the theater,
holding the door for my ladies,
maybe that’s the irony.
