republicans are throwing constipated hissy fits that Obama “politicized” the Dallas shootings by lamenting the availability of high powered weapons.

in what craven universe do these shamelessly hypocritical self-sucking cowards live?

one man was able to rain down a hail of gunfire, enough to convince everyone it was a coordinated multi-man attack. and he was using his gun for exactly the reason those second amendment dickheads say we need our guns: to fight against perceived violent oppression by the state.

guns are so prevalent that cops fear for their lives every second of every day, and so they’re a lot quicker to pull the trigger.

tens of thousands of people die unnecessarily every year in this country because there’s a large contingent of dangerously powerful people who have deluded themselves into thinking that tools DESIGNED to kill, efficiently, pose no danger to society

politicizing this issue?

fuck yes. the government’s job is to protect its citizens.

more people are needlessly killed by firearms in this country every few months than have been killed by terrorists in American history

it’s a fucking political issue, and every time they refuse to discuss the problem they drench themselves further in the blood of the endlessly-mounting list of innocent victims

so yeah. let’s politicize guns.
