Daily Blog 01 | Starting my first blog.

I’ve been thinking about this experiment for a while now, but I haven’t had the time to implement it. More importantly I haven’t had the courage or maybe even the will to start it. So I watched a bunch of YouTube clips about blogging and came to a decision. I’m going to blog every day for 1 month and see what happens to me.

I think what I will do is start slow. Blog in the evening so I can gather and reflect on my thoughts. I think I want to use blogging as a tool to better express my self. I’ve always had this concept that bloggers must be good writers, but from what I’ve been reading blogging can be for anyone. Growing up I never had good grammar, but as I get older I start to realize people don’t give a fuck about grammar. They just want to read the story you put out.

So today I officially decided to start blogging. I finished my fathers Farewell Note. It has been sitting in my Medium drafts for a while. Actually ever since he passed away on October 29, 2016. The grief was flooding me. I had to finish his farewell note. It is important to me. It was quite the emotional roller coaster. It also brought back the good times I spent with my father. I will miss him dearly.

It has been a while since I looked into my Medium account. I almost forgot I had an unfinished short story I was writing. Without spoiling to much I can say it will be a dark gritty mystery short story. I’ve always wanted to write a story. I think instead of playing video games or watching the same shit on TV I would dedicate my time to writing more. Finish my short story, blog everyday, maybe even write a script. I might be pushing it, but I find all those things interesting.

Currently I am taking a course online for iOS Development. I started with web development almost 2 years ago and loved it. I then found myself falling in love with developing iPhone apps. You might be wondering if i’m in it for the money. Well actually no. I just love how a beautiful device can do so much with just the simplest apps. Plus since everyone seems to be gravitating towards mobile phones more; what better way then to make apps people will love and be useful for them. I can’t wait till I make something with the ARkit. What a game changer!

Well I think I've typed enough today. I want this daily blogging to be a fun experience and not a chore. Like I said before I want to start off slow. I mean don’t get me wrong I would continue to keep typing, but I also need to understand when to stop. Otherwise I will lose my reader and possible run out of content. I’m not really sure what to do. I think I will just keep this daily blog going and see what makes of it. Who knows maybe I already sparked something in you to write a daily blog.

Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.

Signing off.
