Should vs Must
This is day one of the 21-DAY JOURNEY INTO MINIMALISM and so far i’m doing okay.
What day one is about is to know the difference between should and must. I know the difference definition wise, but the meaning behind the word is what separates the two.
Should isn’t as alive as Must.
When you say I should do this or I should do that. It implies that you would do it, but with hesitation. When you say I must do this or I must do that. The Must is a lot more a live and full of strength/energy. The must implies that you will do it and with out hesitation.
“I should read this book, but my favorite TV show is on.”
“I must read this book before I watch my favorite show.”
Day 1 assignment
Instead of writing down an “I should” list write an “I must” list. Don’t just write anything let your I must list have meaning and reason why you must do this or must do that.
What must happen in your life for a fundamental change to occur?
Here is what I came up with:
I must sleep better.
I must watch less TV
I must read more
I must code better and more
I must get rid of junk I don’t use anymore
I must stop wasting money
I must save money
I must exercise
I must eat healthier food
I would like to know if you made a list yourself and if you want to share let me know. Take back your freedom and happiness. Im working on mine and hopefully after 21 days I will be a happy person.
