I wrote this story for a writing contest: 1200 words with the prompt of something that is a work in progress. This theme can be found throughout the entire story in a variety of ways : humanity, gender, science, even Dr. Stone’s life in general. We all are, after all, a non-stop work in progress.

“Antimatter”

Dr. Stone stepped down from his classic Jeep Wrangler and cinched his hoodie tight. The sun was hovering just above the ocean horizon and salt air blew ashore in forceful gusts.
