The importance of surveillance cameras or bugs in our society today cannot be neglected. Admittedly, micro-cameras are as important as security men are in different establishments. Cameras are used to monitor or support security operatives in their workplaces such as Hotels, Banking halls, Offices, Malls, Supermarkets, and so on.

However, in places like hotel rooms, hidden cameras ought not to be allowed because clients who check in would want to have their privacy — except otherwise stated — but it has been allegedly reported that some hotels install cameras in their rooms just to record people’s activities, although this is not, most at times, done with the consent of the hotel management. The bad eggs in such an establishment could go a long way to carry out such a bad act. If, however, a camera must be placed in any room, it should be disclosed to guests staying there.

Recently, a friend of mine reportedly told me that he discovered a hidden camera monitoring him and his friend in a hotel room. And last year when I traveled to one of the cities in my country, I found out a suspicious device in the hotel room that I booked, which I thought could be a spying device.
