100 Days of Code: Day 30
So I ended up missing a day anyway since I was busy packing for my trip to Otakon this weekend. It’s a big anime convention that’s celebrating it’s last year in Baltimore, Maryland. And I’m finding time to code while I’m here — in-between working a table for AUSA and checking out all the awesome weeaboo stuff!
So I tried my hand at GroundworkCSS today…and got severely confused. I wanted to try my hand at a new CSS framework, but this one I can’t seem to wrap my head around. It has documentation on their site, but I think Bootstrap has spoiled me with their documentation and examples of usage. There are a LOT of options to choose from to get things going, but it’s just not…workable. Or maybe I’m just spoiled…I don’t know.
So I set aside my GroundworkCSS and went for a basic setup for the Weather App. I’m going for the basic layout at first to see if I can get things working, then add on a few other areas, like a 5-day forecast, wind speed, change in the background image, etc.
I hope to make some more progress tomorrow. I’ll have my laptop with me so I should be alright. Maybe I’ll even try to figure out a new layout for this one. My previous layout sketch was fine until the glue I used to place it in my notebook caused me to break out into massive hives. So I think I’ll make this one with some positive vibes this time around. :)
