Lol, I’d say far less than 150%. (Which isn’t even possible, so there’s that). More like 20–25%. Because like you said, nobody is insinuating that we should arm ALL teachers, (truthfully I’m not quite sure that’s what Shanna even meant, but her language did hint towards it), and it would indeed be a tiny fraction of teachers as a whole that would be participating.

All of that being said, your response was typical of the blinded-by-faith-to-my-party conservative views on this subject. Why? Because they all fail to wonder when “suicide-by-teacher” will be a thing. Cause you know, “suicide-by-cop” was the goal of Andy Williams, as well as various other shooting-spree instigators. You’re delusional if you think for one second some teachers won’t divulge to their favorite students the fact that they carry a weapon. It might be prohibited, but that does not at all mean it won’t ever be done. And regardless of if a students knows exactly which teachers carry, the knowledge that the right to carry exists for the school staff would most likely not be a hindrance for anyone who intends on dying anyway.

Basically, there’s no substantial evidence to prove that, had teachers been armed in any of the school shootings in recent history, the shooters wouldn’t have carried out their deeds regardless. They all knew in a matter of minutes the cops and SWAT would show up, meaning they’d be surrounded by scores of weapons of a much more intimidating caliber than the ones the teachers would have been permitted to carry. Each of them knew they stood a very high chance of being killed. But they did it anyway.

Maybe less kids would have died if the teachers had been armed. Maybe it wouldn’t have made a single difference. Either way, lives would be uselessly taken because many underlying problems with the shooters weren’t addressed in the days, weeks, months, and years leading up to their despicable crimes. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Btw, it’s laughable that you consider your views to be indicative of your “normalcy”, and that Shanna’s views effectively make her “abnormal” simply because she doesn’t agree with you. 😂

What’s actually “normal” is that everyone has their own opinions on any given subject. You can have completely different, yet educated and well-informed, opinions on literally anything. As someone who identifies with neither left or right ideologies, I can attest to that 100%. However, your credibility is significantly diminished the moment you suggest that your own opinions make you superior to anyone who doesn’t agree with them, no matter which side you align with.

Some food for thought. All the best.
