Steve, I love this. I remember when Kevin Kelly named Marshall McLuhan the patron saint of Wired magazine, and they published this “interview” with him in 1996:

The acceleration of social platforms in particular have dovetailed with MM’s ideas around the segmentations of society — the “walled gardens” yielding walled-off subgroups. Really extraordinary. Long-term implications are somewhat terrifying.
