3 Reasons Why You Need To Be On Quora

I get it. There are so many social media platforms to be a part of, and if you hear about another one to keep up with, you just might quit all together…

I’ve been in your shoes before!

The problem with that thinking is technology will never slow down. So if you intend to be on top of your game, it’s imperative that you learn how to use all platforms and figure out which one is best for you.

If you are not familiar with Quora, it’s a platform that allows people to ask questions and get answers from experts. At this point, there’s an endless amount of topics to search for. And, there are a few reasons why you should strongly consider using it as one of your primary platforms.

#1: Become An Expert

The first reason is because you can establish yourself as an expert in your field. Everyone likes to get answers from people that have actually experienced things and aren’t just giving advice from books they have read. When people trust that you have actually done the things you are talking about, it allows you to link your answers back to your blog or another part of your website that will further compliment your answer. This not only creates more value for those that read your post, but it drives more traffic to relevant potential customers.

#2: Build Your Tribe

When answering questions on Quora, it connects you with the exact type of people that you are also looking to build relationships with. If you are an expert fisherman, and someone is asking about what kind of fishing line to use for a certain fish, you better believe they want to hear from you. If you by chance have an online store that sells professional gear, you can put the link in that post and funnel them into your store.

This not only helps to build your business, but it also help to build the trust between your customers and your brand. If you have trust, you have customers.

#3: Google Rank

The last reason you need to be on Quora is because Google picks up on questions very easily. People ask very niche questions on Quora which allows you to narrow down your audience or customer, and rank high on search engines. So, not only will a narrow audience see your answers, but you will also make it over to the “Google Machine”. This is called content marketing. And, if you answer enough questions with your links in them, you better believe you will see an increase in traffic to your website.

I want to amplify that you should ONLY put in relevant content. If you start linking random pages to your site that doesn’t help anyone, you will soon see that no one will bother reading your answers. You will quickly lose credibility and will have trouble gaining that trust back.

So if you are looking for an additional way to get your website or blog out there, check out Quora. It has a plethora of possibilities and can service you just as well as you’d be servicing other by answering their questions.
