IN FLUX | Finding Purpose in Transition
“Are we there yet?”
That familiar question. Perhaps you remember asking it during a never-ending road trip across the country. Or when you’re engaged to your fiancé and the wedding planning days lost their luster. Or maybe you just couldn’t wait to have a more fulfilling job, get to the right weight, own a home, or take a year off.
We’ve all been there haven’t we? That proverbial state of uncertainty and unknown, eager for the next steps in life. Our mind, body, and souls enter into a fragile state when we don’t know where we are heading.
When you look in the viewfinder of a camera, you only see a small square box. Only one way of perceiving things. When you can step back from the viewfinder, the scope of sight is so much more vast. Away from the lens, context and frame of reference awaits. We need to see transitions from a wider, more dynamic point of view, not from the viewfinder that discomfort often brings.
That’s what this book is all about, shifting our perspective when we are in the state of flux. This is a guide to finding purpose in transition.
