As a conservative, if there is going to be some sort of general public welfare programs, the UBI in some form aligns most with my beliefs.

I can’t support lower taxes in the mindset that people are more responsible with their own money, but then ask the government to allow an X amount of dollars for this, X amount for that, etc. etc. Let people receive a basic income and let them decide what’s important for them and their families.
