The comments on this piece about Ryan Lochte say far more about the readers on Medium than anything…

The author brought it on himself by blasting a bunch of people who may support Trump for various reasons — this was a story about Lochte and his reprehensible acts at the Olympics (well, outside of the Olympics). The author attempted to make a joke at the expense of people who wanted to read an opinion piece about Lochte, and in an open forum, people can express their opinions.

But, by all means — continue to surround yourself in the echo-chamber you admit to feeling so comfortable in. It’s not like there wasn’t a published study about the effects:
