Planners: The Chief Product Officers of Cities

Thanks for posting this Ben. As a product designer, my career has been focused on designing and building communications platforms (Roadrunner, Aol, Yahoo). At Neighborland, I now work closely with city planning departments on their community engagement strategy (what product managers would call user research), and we often discuss how to better integrate feedback from the public into their overall design process. The urban planners that we work with understand the value of human-centered design, and have helped shape the capabilities of our platform over the past year. I’d be happy to talk more about the relationship between software product management to urban planning. Look forward to catching up!
