3 Favorite Songs from my Teen Years

Eminem- Till I Collapse

“Till I Collapse” was one of my favorite Eminem songs in high school. I decided to get into shape halfway through high school, but one of my biggest problems was getting the motivation to go out and exercise. I decided to try and turn to music to give me the push to go to the gym, and when I first listened to this song it was exactly what I needed. I listened to this song at least once every workout and I never get tired of it.

‘Cause sometimes you just feel tired,
Feel weak, and when you feel weak, you feel like you wanna just give up.
But you gotta search within you, you gotta find that inner strength And just pull that sh#t out of you and get that motivation to not give up
And not be a quitter, no matter how bad you wanna just fall flat on your face and collapse.

Avenged Sevenfold- Afterlife

Avenged Sevenfold was one of my favorite bands during my teen years, but “Afterlife” is definitely my favorite song by them. It was one summer where I was with my cousin, and we were having a great time just hanging out. This song was also his favorite, so we would listen to it often. Whenever I hear this song, it reminds me of that summer and brings a smile to my face.

Zedd- Clarity

EDM is my favorite genre of music, and this song is the reason why. I really wasn’t interested in techno music, but when I heard this song on the radio, I was in love. Next thing I knew I was looking up who Zedd was and other tracks he’s done. This led me to looking up different artists similar to Zedd, and now I have no idea how many different EDM artists I have in my music library.
