Very short response. During the time of the ratification of the 13th Amendment they were having lots of trouble trying to get the 27 states necessary to ratify it. In order to get around that problem they told the southern states that had seceded that in order to be re-admitted (I didn’t know they were kicked out since we fought the Civil War to keep them from dropping out in the first place.)to the union they had to ratify the 13th Amendment. Do you think that was a free and fair vote? The 13th Amendment is illegal and unconstitutional as a result of the coercive method used to get it ratified. Do we need to start over again on this one? Could we get enough votes to pass it?
