This article still feels like a HRC supporter trying to somehow justify the loss,,,,or at least its not MY fault……such a self-centered position. Unfortunately the world is mostly one of not absolute right/wrong situations.

I voted for Obama’s first term. and then didn't the second term….because frankly I found him to be a poor leader, made many decisions I did not agree with, and most of all did not deliver on his campaign promises. I was saddened that he did little to help the lives of the poor (just gave more handouts), did nothing to better the position of the U.S. in the world, and failed to improve race relations at home. So many missed opportunities after a campaign built on “hope”

However, when he was elected to a second term, I supported him just as much as his first term. Arguably, he did not “deserve” support….but he was still OUR President and for that reason alone deserved support.

For those old enough or experience enough in life have often been in positions of working for a boss we didnt like (or was not as good as the last one), or had a sports coach that didnt see my talents or give 100% of themselves, or had a minister whose sermon didn’t speak to ME or was uninspiring.

Regardless of situation, each of the people in those positions deserved my support and my best intentions. If they were just “average”, I saw it as my responsibility to help elevate them, motivate them, or at minimum get the most of my experience with them. This attitude seems lost in today’s society.

Instead, today everyone has become so self-obsessed with ME & MY life and needs. We are the Starbucks generation where we expect life to be tailored to ME and MY self-centered life. We have become selfish and ugly. We sit on the sidelines with our basket of tomatoes (criticism) and toss them at everything that does not serve ME and MY needs or beliefs. However, ME and MY would NEVER stop throwing tomatoes and actually trying to support or help with problems. We would rather just be critics…..and pat ourselves on the back for “making a stand”. We have become sad, lazy, and pathetic….self-centered and self-serving……
