Burning to Ashes
Nietzsche once said, “You must be ready to burn yourself in your own flame; how could you rise anew if you have not first become ashes?”
You must always challenge the decisions that you make. Do not commit to something only because you began it in the first place. Sometimes the best lessons come from letting something fail.
If you keep changing paths, it does not always mean that you lack grit or focus. It may simply be that the path you were on became a dead end, or merged onto another path.
Do not always try to restrict certain impulses. They exist for a reason and to ignore them is failing to pay attention to your own needs.
You WILL make mistakes. It WILL happen. It is MEANT to happen. There may be certain lessons that can only be learned through error. Sometimes failure is the only way. Success cannot exist without failure. It cant.
Do not compare your successes and failures with others. Their personal culture, needs and aspirations are different from yours. They might be a lot more open to proclaiming their successes than sharing their failures.
Failure, risks and fear are all a part of living. Do not be afraid of them when they make an appearance in your life. So long as you make decisions that are right for you and do not negatively impact yourself or others, then you should count that as a success.
There is only one final destination. We all end up in the same place. There are many ways of getting there. Forge your own path, because you are the only one who will walk it.
