Awesome article, Kvox. Totally nailed the problem in a way that was not unfair to the HR folks who are tasked with enforcing company policies (while acknowledging that some of them are really impossible to deal with).
I think a lot of Yahoo’s problems could be traced to their HR department. Nice enough folk, the ones I met anyway, but that system was sooooo fakackta. And they never fixed it. Now Yahoo is no more. There’s a lesson here somewhere.
