In a recent interview with the main team members, Twitch co-founder Justin Kan discussed the new project called Fractal, described as an NFT business in the gaming industry, through which players can sell items that will enable them to perform anything inside a game realm.

Fractal’s goal is to provide an open platform for the free exchange of digital assets and virtual worlds.

This will be accomplished by collaboration with the greatest NFT’s gaming businesses and the development of technologies that will assist them in reaching a large number of clients.

The project is being built around P2E games which allow gamers to buy avatars and digital objects. While the platform has been focused on expanding functionality for crypto games in the run-up to launch, Kan and the Fractal team expect to revolutionize the platform into a sort of Kickstarter for blockchain games, allowing players to pre-purchase exclusive NFTs to help support the expansion of the games themselves. Relying also on the support of strong partnerships with big and affirmed gaming crypto companies that develop P2E with NFTs: Fractal will assist them in providing broader developed technologies to reach and embrace a large number of players.

For the founding team, Solana is the future of the gaming sector: its network is a wager on a future in which the Ethereum network’s modularity and slow-moving central basis are unable to meet the demands of the web3 user base. The low-fee, high-bandwidth building is seen as a suitable location for NFT initiatives..

For the CTO Micheal Angell, Solana is the best platform to build on, and it’s an excellent tech stack for games that will have millions of assets that will need to be transacted extremely quickly within the game.

For the team, there are a lot of possibilities in their product to smooth things out and improve the gamer experience, and that is something they are focused on.

The major shift is around people’s understanding of the gaming movement which is not merely oriented to the gaming companies but to the final users. Indeed, with this new paradigm, players will be able to retain their gaming collectibles trying to make profits with future reselling.

Two markets will be available: a primary one in which companies will make their gaming drops and a secondary one in which players will be able to find, purchase, and sell gaming NFTs.

Kan and the rest of the Fractal team want to officially debut the platform in the coming weeks and it has been announced that during Christmas “the largest airdrop in the Solana ecosystem” will take place for their first 100’000 users that joined their Discord channel.

In a recent tweet, the Fractal team announced that the first partnership will be with the Aurory NFT game developed on Solana.

Aurory is a play-to-earn desktop game where players are invited to explore a rich and diverse universe. Travel across the world of Antik and Cryptos, two different areas and biomes, where you will meet a vast array of NPCs and Nefties.

A further project mentioned during the Discord AMA is the game called GenoPets, that revolves around player’s fitness and physical activity.
