While Lia Booth has been mesmerizing audiences around Southern California for the last few years, she has, the process, also became one of the most talked about and appreciated singers among musicians — often a much more cynical audience. Her vocal tone, sense of swing, phrasing and undeniable mastery of harmony and scat singing have made her a force to be reckoned with. This album presents her with the subtle but swinging accompaniment of her regular trio, spearheaded by the brilliant young guitarist, Miles Jensen, and featuring guest artists like trumpeter Tony Guerrero (who also produced the record), vibraphonist Nick Mancini and singer Aubrey Logan.
