One fateful day about 3 years ago, I was playing on my favorite website — Pinterest — and came across a pin that said something like “How I made 2 trillion dollars with my blog.” Naturally, I was intrigued. I clicked through and read an article that changed my life.
This blogger was making money, lots of money, from writing about being a mom and using coupons. I had no idea that money could be made from a blog, or that anyone could just pop one up on the interwebs and call themselves a blogger.

An exquisitely beautiful remake of the Shakespearean classic with a twist, Romeo and Juliet replaces swords with guns. The Montagues and the Capulets are rival gangs, and the story takes place in a post-modern town of Verona Beach.
Romeo (Leonardo DiCaprio) sees and instantly falls in love with Juliet (Claire Danes)…

I let my kids choose paint colors for their bedrooms when we first moved into our house, and my daughter chose this really nice dark gray. My husband spent a weekend prepping, hanging crown then painting his little heart out, and it looks pretty frickin fantastic — if I do say so myself.
The makeover even got a nod of approval from the teenager. No easy thing to achieve. But after everything…
Skillful and purposeful blogging has numerous advantages from increased consumer engagement to revenue growth. It is a fantastic tool for successful marketing: blogging maintains SEO and drives traffic, promotes your website on social media, and expands your brand.

Your ad campaigns are a meth.
South Dakota is in the midst of a meth epidemic, and Governor Kristi Noem wants to do something about it.
In an attempt to bring awareness to the issue, Noem launched an ambitious campaign with these new ads that have left a lot of people scratching their heads.
The company behind the campaign, Broadhead Co., is based out of Minneapolis, and they were paid nearly a half-million dollars to produce the ads.
According to Broadhead, the goal of the “I’m on Meth” tagline was to get people to take a more active…
I get really weird every single time.
There may have been a time when I was good with getting a compliment and reacted like a normal person. I imagine I would have been delighted in my toddlerhood to have someone praise my coloring. Somewhere along the line, however, compliments started making my insides do a high-pitched velociraptor screech. It really causes me a moment of panic because I don’t know how to respond. More than not, I resort to self-deprecation.
When you actually do care about life
I was having coffee with a good friend the other day, and while we were catching up about our lives, she mentioned that she recently went to the local Planned Parenthood for her annual checkup and birth control renewal.
She went on to describe the mob of people “protesting” on the sidewalk across from the clinic. People were out there giving her dirty looks, shouting at her to change her mind, and there were those out there holding up signs with questionable messages on them.
My friend was simply attempting to attend a…
I give myself two days — a week tops.
Since the opening of Zombieland 2, I have had zombies on my brain (pun intended!) It got me to thinking about my prospects should an actual zombie apocalypse plague humanity, and I don’t even need the magic eight ball to tell me outlook not good.
I adore zombie movies, the whole genre is a yes from me. 28 Days Later is my jam, and I have watched every single Resident Evil film. …
Yeah, your fav is probably in here.
Do a quick Google search for the most romantic moments in cinema, and you will find a few movies that make the lists over and over again. While some of them are completely cutesy, a few are downright creepy.
Consider the following moments — which are supposed to make viewers’ hearts go all fluttery — that should have the characters running for the door.
Romeo takes it upon himself to start climbing up a trellis to a girl’s bedroom because he wanted to profess his love. Remember this is a girl he…
