I had a neighbor who was given 4 days to live. He held court, and although I think everyone had mixed feelings, he got to say goodbye to everyone that mattered — as well as party (and misbehave in the way only a cheeky 78 year old could.). That is how I want to go: quickly, but not suddenly.
