The launch of the Beacon Chain today marks a significant milestone in Ethereum’s migration to Proof of Stake. As the most anticipated upgrade in Ethereum’s five year history, we’re excited to usher in Phase 0 of ETH2 as a non-custodial, community-owned staking protocol.

With the ability for anyone with 32 ETH to serve a crucial role in securing the network by running a validator, the protocol as home to a flourishing ecosystem has never been closer to its vision.

As we develop Rocket Pool to support ETH2 infrastructure, it’s important to remember that not everyone has 32 ETH, and not everyone is capable of running their own node. …

500,000 ETH Staked in Rocket Pool’s Medalla Beta!

Hello Rocket Poolers! Well, what an amazing effort by all of you in our first public beacon chain beta that is running on Medalla right now @ beta.rocketpool.net

We are so proud of all of you who contributed to it, either just by throwing some Goerli ETH quickly into the front-end and getting some sweet tokenised staking happening with rETH, or by going the extra mile and firing up a smart node in the Rocket Pool network, to help it generate rewards for those rETH holders.

With Rocket Pool aiming to become a community-owned staking protocol for Ethereum 2.0, we have to give a quick shout-out to some very special community members who stepped up for this beta to help educate others. …

Tokenised Staking — Try it out on the beta starting on the 26th November!

Hello Rocket Poolers! Our Pyrmont beta will be starting in just under a week, on the 26th of November, 2020 00:00 UTC. We’re getting excited to see how people will not only stake, but also node operate! If you’re very new to Rocket Pool, before participating you might want to read our FAQ 101 to get the low down on all the lingo, or you’ll be doing a lot of this in the following paragraphs.

Since betas can sometimes be a little overwhelming and are not the easiest thing to wrap your head around, we’ve made a few guides to help walk you through the various facets of the beta. You can just be among the first to try out tokenised staking on the website @ beta.rocketpool.net and if you feel like taking on a much bigger part of the beta, you can also run a node in the Rocket Pool network, be it on your own staking rig or on an AWS instance, and try things out. …

Hello Rocket Poolers! Since our last major announcement on our changes to Rocket Pool 2.5, we’ve been super busy! So, in today's development update, we’ll be covering not only how those changes have been brought to life and the challenges that came with them, but also our plans for the rollout of the next beta on the newly created ETH2 Medalla testnet. We’ve even thrown in some pretty screenshots for good measure.

We’ll also be using this update to cover some of our early plans for a Rocket Pool DAO to govern the network in the future and how that might look. We’ve also recently introduced a new Rocket Pool Improvement Proposal (RPIP) system which has been rolled out to our Discord room. This new system helps us gauge community sentiment and feedback on big new additions to Rocket Pool before they are rolled out. …

Hello Rocket Poolers! We’re excited today to reveal some big improvements to Rocket Pool, a decentralised staking network for ETH2. These big changes have been inspired by feedback from our community over many months and have also allowed us to implement some additional features that we’ve been planning.

Such are these changes, that we’re marking this as a significant upgrade to the platform and calling it Rocket Pool 2.5. We’ll outline all the major changes below and their differences from version 2.0, our initial release that supported ETH2 and the beacon chain.

We’ve updated our whitepaper and our FAQ to reflect these changes and our website will be updated soon. This release will also push back our next planned beta but never fear, for these changes are definitely worth it and we hope you’ll agree! …
