Why directed daydreaming makes you more productive

Great post! I’m a big believer in the deliberate use of the back burner for finding solutions to problems. There’s a fabulous episode of The Big Bang Theory where Sheldon does exactly this, starting with writing the problem on a whiteboard and then trying to sneak up on it — it makes me laugh every time because I know that’s exactly what I’m trying to do when I go on one of my ‘plot-walks’.
