Au Revoir!

Well that 4 weeks just flew by, there is not one word that can sum up my experience as it was exciting, fun, hilarious, engaging, interesting, tasty, unravelling and lastly heartbreaking.

I met some incredible people and learnt about the extensive connections and capabilities of the Havas network. I must say, it’s pretty damn impressive!

My highlights were;

The innovation team, this department blows me away, what they work on, who they discover and work with is incredible. It’s like getting a glimpse into the future and I cant wait to get back to Australia and connect with these guys on upcoming briefs and projects.

The data team, WOW these guys are so effortlessly intelligent (they tried to teach me how to create a custom data dashboard and beginner coding lol) I was sh*t.
It was interesting to see everything they do and to get a glimpse into their world. Data is fast becoming the most important aspect in advertising so spending time with this team was paramount.
One of my objectives was to gain an understanding of the Artemis platform to share with the digi team in Australia, I managed to wrangle 2 hours out of the dashboarding team to show me each aspect of the Artemis tool. It is now up to us to start using Artemis — as with every tool, you figure out more of its capabilities and features the more you use it.

The team at Arena, I managed to snag my catch up with the CEO. He was able to make clear points to help me achieve 2 of my objectives for the Lofts programme, 1) the characteristics of a good manager and 2) to build a good pitch.

The experience has been incredible. I have met some great people and learnt about teams, projects and connections that I wouldn’t have known if I just got on with my day job in Sydney.

Thank you to all the people to put up with my nagging and annoying questions. If you ever come to the land down under make sure you give me a bell!
