Carlos Ruiz Zafon always says in his books that we only remember things that have never happened. I think it is true, and especially childhood — our memories of it are vague enough to be cinematographic and easy to shape. Memory in the end serves our own purpose — creates images that are coherent with our current vision of ourselves and the world.

Hard to say if it is good or bad and the last quote from Oscar Wild brings it just to the point!
