I’m beginning to think that a lot of Silicon Valley companies, valued by speculation and overvalued for their actual revenue, are on the stage of being revealed as naked lords trying to rip all genuine creators. This story is a biting critique of algorithms, spammers, and the hollow incentives of a gamified platform. It’s time for it.
A view here is counted anytime someone opens our story, while a read is counted when someone appears to have read most of the story. A rewarded read is when a paying user reads almost 75% of the story and stays more than 1 minute on the page. Claps also give some pennies.
First of all, I don’t consider myself a good writer. I’m just trying. So I won’t disclose stats because now I got below 1$ / month. (with 2 or 3 stories written) Last year I even got 100$ / month. Creators Economy for the lords to thrive. Hooray!!
Second. Here on the platform facts are no longer needed because Medium techno feudalism decided it’s time to get all the pie or most of it. On paper, it sounds like a dream: get paid for writing meaningful stories that resonate with readers.
