Why you can’t learn English or any other language

I keep talking about it and it seems I will have to talk about it again. I visited the Polyglot Gathering in Bratislava last week and one of the things which stroke me the most was how determined and focussed polyglots are. It’s amazing how they are not looking for hacks or magic recipes. They just do the work. Each in the own way, but they DO THE WORK.

And their focus is COMMUNICATION. Everything is organised around this goal. To tell the truth, it’s very easy to organise your routine or find the best ways of doing something once you set your focus on it. It suddenly becomes easy, doesn’t it?

So, once again about the right focus in learning languages. A short podcast episode:

So, what’s your focus in learning English (or any other language, doesn’t matter too much).

I invite English learners to follow my Figure Out English podcast. It is an easy way to make your English solid and speak it the right way. The transcripts and learning notes you can find at figureoutenglish.com.
