Design as an ethical imperative.
A person does not ‘choose to be a designer’ because the person ‘lack ethics’. Design as an ethical imperative is the reason people are drawn to a career in design to begin with.
The better the ethical practice the better design management will embrace the ethical aspects of what makes a person uniquely human.
The worse the practice is the lower of an impression designers will have of those entrusted with all of the quirkiness that goes along with managing designers.
